New Online Training Programme
As the physical side of the sports world has paused let's make the most of this time and find out about this great opportunity.
A Workforce to get Sussex Active aims to support local physical activity providers by connecting you with possible training opportunities for coaches and volunteers and they have announced an online training programme. All of these training workshops are FREE and to secure a place they are asking you to work towards setting up, or continuing with an activity aimed at helping local residents in the project target areas to become more physically active. The courses are as follows :-
Walk Leader Training – Monday 22nd February, 10am-12pm
The Walk Leader training will give you an understanding of the role of a walk leader and some key skills required of a walk leader. You will also learn how to devise appropriate walking routes, manage risks, and lead a safe and enjoyable walk.
Introduction to Marketing for Sports Organisations – Wednesday 3rd March, 6-7.30pm
In this workshop we will take you through the vital first steps to improving your organisation’s marketing, getting to grips with who your audience is and how to reach them. With a practical walkthrough, good practice examples and group discussions, you’ll leave the session with a clear set of actions that you apply straight into your organisation. This session is ideal for sports organisations, clubs, groups and charities looking to strengthen their marketing and communications strategy.
Introduction to Social Media – Tuesday 9th March, 6-7.30 pm
An introduction to social media (focussing on Facebook), this workshop will cover; understanding your audience, optimising a Facebook page to make it attractive, beginners guide to Facebook algorithm, images your audience will love, what to post, review your results & improve.
