Today the younger junior section returned to the Salts for a day of activities in support of the NatWest rugby force initiative helping Seaford rugby club engage with the community.
The coaches adhered to a strict sanitising regime for all the participants using hand gels and equipment sprays and all the kids followed the coaches instructions regarding good social distancing and hygiene rules in line with the England RFU instructions.
Each child registered and took part in 10 activities keeping in their small groups of 5, the activities ranged from running in lanes around slalom poles holding a ball in both hands counting the number of completed runs in the allocated 2 minutes to the number of star jumps completed in the 2 minutes, the favourite task was to carry a cup of water from their separate dustbin of water down their individual lane and empty that into their bucket and after the 2 minutes the coach measured the amount of water in each bucket and of coarse water and kids makes for a disaster for any coach near by......
I personally wish to thank all the coaches for turning up and keeping it all in order, Ian Newby for starting so early this morning, Peter Joy, Karla and Dom Weisz, Kevin Lewis and Gwen Cambridge for helping set up and all the parents, board, kids and the club as a whole for turning out in such good numbers to make the day a great success and Lucy Mayhew for helping with the planning.
