Saturday was not a good day to play rugby. Forcing a late pitch inspection from the referee. Right from the off of Saturday's league game at The Salts, Mother Nature made sure she was going to play a major part in the outcome of the game. The question was who was going to deal with the conditions best?
Crawley arrived with the squad tested to the full with a makeshift front row, while Crowley kept belief with the majority of his team from the cup Q/F win, with making minor changes at half-back and flanker.

The second half commenced with Seaford knowing exactly what they needed to do. The half was deadlock for a great deal with nobody making much headway.
The visitors started to stave Seaford of the ball mid way through the half resulting in two consecutive 'soft' sin-bins for the home side for infringements at the ruck.
Seaford dug deep to find themselves camped on the Crawley 5 metre line for the last 8 mins of the game. The resulting pressure translated into a penalty, which fly-half Ben Cox converted.
This was to be the last battle of the game resulting with the visitors taking the spoils. Seaford were rewarded for there persistence with a losing bonus point.
