After a summer of hard-working and focussed training, Seaford II’s faced Lewes III’s in a match which saw the young team clinch victory with a 14 – 5 win. Seaford dominated much of the play with the two tries coming from new recruit, Scott Voice, and John Nimmo, a veteran of the club. Luke Taylor, who at the end of last season moved to senior level from Seaford Colts, successfully kicked both conversions.
This is a fantastic start for Seaford seconds and their new captain, Craig Warren, who just last season returned to playing after a serious neck injury.
The seconds come home next week with a hard last friendly against Hove 4 at The Salts Kick Off 3pm. Their first league game is on 17th September, at the Salts against Rye II, 3.00pm kick off.
